Kwanzaa Reflection 2023: Kuumba

Today is Day Six of Kwanzaa and our principle of the day is Kuumba, creativity.

I like how broad today's prompt it is! It leaves a lot of room to discover how to best incorporate community development activities into your life. As I write this, I'm reminded of several service projects I've participated in that specific target community beautification - such as HomeWorks, Rolling in Rock Hill, and Adopt-A-Highway.

I think we have an opportunity to benefit our communities and future generations by also addressing and correcting our personal traumas and generational curses. If each of us show up as our healed, complete selves, we may be able to make a stronger impact on the world around us. Just my two cents. Happy New Year!
